Christian Horner has talked up the upcoming F1 movie, poking fun at the involvement of long-term rivals Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff, while Max Verstappen has come under fire from a former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner for his inability to record race wins in lesser machinery.
The 25-year-old driver currently boasts a 125-point lead at the top of the standings heading into the break and has the opportunity to draw level with Sebastian Vettel’s record of nine consecutive race wins at his home Grand Prix in the Netherlands on the other side of the summer.
Red Bull, meanwhile, continue to dominate the Constructor’s Championship with the team still unbeaten in both sprint races and Grands Prix this season.
Horner has been left ecstatic with his team’s performance this season, and with the gap to rivals Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Aston Martin not yet coming down, the team are still well-placed to challenge for the unprecedented clean sweep.

Red Bull in DRS shock
Red Bull technical chief Pierre Wache has revealed that the team are shocked that the rest of the grid has not yet figured out their DRS tricks.
The Frenchman told Motorsport.com: “We’ve had hundreds of tests by the FIA to see if we’ve used a trick or something, and people don’t understand why on high-downforce tracks the advantage disappears.
“Ok, that means they still haven’t managed to understand it,” he continued. “And that surprises us a lot.”
Red Bull’s DRS remains by far the most powerful in the field and plays a pivotal role in making life easy for Max Verstappen in his bid for a third straight world title.

Christian Horner in F1 movie dig
Christian Horner has joked that Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff will use their producer roles to portray Red Bull as the villains in the upcoming F1 movie.
“It’s great that, again, it’s taking Formula One onto the big screens,” he told ESPN Unlapped on their latest podcast.
The Red Bull team boss then joked: “With Toto and Lewis as executive producers, I’m sure we’re going to be portrayed as the bad guys and the villains!”
There is currently no publicly known release date for the project, but on-track filming for the picture, which will star Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, took place at Silverstone earlier this season.

Verstappen given F1 ‘GOAT’ verdict
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has been told that he can never be seen as one of the all-time F1 greats if he doesn’t win races in worse machinery, according to former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Richard Bradley. The Dutchman is currently on track for his third successive world title with Sergio Perez struggling to hold a candle to his results.
The 25-year-old driver is currently on course to break a wealth of records this year as continues to dominate team-mate Perez and the rest of the field, winning ten of the opening 12 Grands Prix in 2023.
However, according to Bradley, this isn’t enough to be considered an all-time F1 legend. Speaking on the On Track GP podcast, he explained: “For me, Max hasn’t proven himself properly in a car which doesn’t have the capability to win yet. I’m not talking one which had a possibility to win, I’m talking one which really didn’t have a chance to win.”
The former Le Mans winner then listed Vettel, alongside the likes of Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher as the five drivers who could proudly claim to have beaten the best in lesser machinery, laying down a challenge to the Dutch driver.
